200 ornaments for the ‘New Year's charity sale’

IUE academics and 21 young people, who are members of the Turkish Quality Association Izmir Branch GençKal Community and studying at different universities in the city worked together in the felt workshop, which was held for the benefit of EÇEV, which carries out activities to contribute to the educational journey of children and young people. Colorful ornaments prepared with great effort and care in the workshop were delivered to EÇEV.
Prof. Dr. Elvan Özkavruk Adanır, Head of IUE Department of Textile and Fashion Design, and Asst. SOCIALLY BENEFICIAL ACTIVITIES
Stating that they are very happy to organize such a meaningful event, Prof. Dr. Elvan Özkavruk Adanır, Head of IUE Department of Textile and Fashion Design, said, “Together with faculty members in our department, we have participated in many organizations studies before. We have prepared various items and materials for the events organized for sick children or young people in need. This year, we wanted to contribute to EÇEV by making ornaments to sell at the charity sales they will attend. While preparing all these, university students supported us. We both had fun and had the pleasure of being a part of such a beautiful project. Kudos to everyone involved. We will continue to take part in such socially beneficial activities.”
