Dersin Amacı	Bu dersin amacı, moda endüstrisinde kullanılan terminoloji, üretim teknikleri ve süreçlerini aktarmak; üretim/tasarım tarafındaki güncel konular hakkında bilgi vermektir.
Öğrenme Çıktıları	Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayabilen öğrenciler; Konfeksiyon üretiminin farklı aşamalarında kullanılan terminolojiyi tanımlayabilecektir. Teknik geziler ve seminerler yardımıyla, farklı üretici firmaları karşılaştırabilecektir. Giyim endüstrisine hammadde girdisi sağlayan farklı sektörleri (aksesuar, nakış, deri vb.) tanımlayabilecektir. Üretim sistemlerindeki güncel konuları takip edebilecektir. Moda endüstrisini global bir bakış açısı ile analiz edebilecektir.
Ders Tanımı	Bu ders, moda endüstrisinde üretim sürecini; koleksiyon ya da müşteri siparişi oluşturulmasından başlayarak paketleme ve sevkiyata kadar tüm aşamalarıyla ele alır. Öğrencilere, moda ve hazır giyim endüstrisinin yapısı ile üretim süreçlerine dair temel bilgiler sunar. Ayrıca, teknolojik gelişmeler ve etik üretim yaklaşımları çerçevesinde, sektördeki güncel uygulamaları tanıtır.
